Are Yellow Labs mean dogs.?

Many people say that Yellow Labs (and all Labs for the matter) are very calm, friendly, and family-oriented. However i dont think they are. Mostly for because both my dog and my grandmothers were attacked by Yellow Labs (two seperate dogs). My dog was almost gutted and had to have 9 inches of intestine removed and my grandmothers had to have plenty of stitches. Ever since my grandmothers dog got mauled she has hated the breed, and I have to say I get sort of uncomferatble around them as well. Does anyone agree that Yellow Labs can be very mean dogs?

It’s hard to generalize-there’s always going to be exceptions. As a whole, yellow labs are genial, but specific ones may be prone to violence. Just like any other breed of dog.

The Traditions of Indian Painting in the World

The traditions of Indian painting go back many centuries and can be seen in the cave murals of Ajanta, the Buddhist palm leaf manuscripts, and the Kangra schools of miniature Indian painting. Indian painting was a common practice within many households who would paint their walls and doors with exquisite natural scenes. Indian paintings are rich in color. They are bold and vibrant, yet refined and sophisticated. There is an aesthetic pleasure that can be found in modern day art and the art of civilizations of the past. From the beginning of time Indian Art has been steeped in the religions of the Indian culture. Over the years various traditions have merged to form a compelling modern art form that still is rich in cultural and religious traditions of the Indian people.

Miniature paintings have a long history in India. At first glance these small paintings would seem to be nothing more than a clutter of masculine and feminine figures. Yet there is so much more to these miniatures. They are actually an expression of the basic movements of Indian dance. They are emotional creations that depict the musical modes of classical music in India, and they date back to medieval times Color is an important element to Indian art and various techniques are used to produce the most intricate designs that are so exquisite. The themes of much of their work are based on Kings and other rulers of their country and the Gods and Goddesses of their religion.

Thanka Painting revolve around Buddha and ritual works. In these works the dragons dominate both in flow and form. It dates back to the 10th century and became a popular form when Buddhism began to spread beyond Tibet. Glass painting dates back to the 16th century were they were first used to adorn places of worship. Using semi precious stones, gold leaf, and gilt metals they were able to produce some of the most magnificent glass paintings known to man. Kalamkari is another popular Indian technique which uses burnt tamarind twigs dipped in molasses and iron fillings to create the outline. Then varying shades of vegetable dyes are used to paint the scenes. Many works of Kalamkari are based on mythological themes with figures that are larger than life.

The Phad Painting was a traditional line of painting done by families of Phad painters from the Bhiwara regions. The outlines were done in block and then filled with color. Their works depicted historic tales of Rajput Chieftains. The family of the Jagganath Temple of Puri were known for their Pata Chitra painters who produced beautiful scroll paintings as well as fine works of art on cotton or tussar. Their work uses vibrant colors and is very distinctive. There are only a few Pata Chitra painters left. Ivory painting involved the most delicate of brush strokes to create the human figure on the ivory. Images were generally of a Mughal Emperor and the art form first came to be in the 18th century. The Madhubani paintings are a Bihar specialty. Modern Indian paintings use materials from around the world but they remain entrenched in expressing the Indian culture and experiences. The ability to combine tradition with modern has produced some amazing works of art.

NORTH KOREA AND NORTH AMERICA

In between Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea lies the twin Koreas as a peninsula consisting of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and the Republic of Korea (South Korea).

Each one is an independent country having lot of problems in between them.

The North Korea is bigger than South Korea in area.

Pyongyang is the capital of North Korea whereas Seoul is for South Korea.

The literacy in both countries is about 95-98 per cent.

The historic background tells us, during the Second World War, America occupied South Korea and Russia, North Korea.

The two countries of Korea became independent in 1948.

But during 1950, North Korean army attacked the South Korea and the famous Korean War was initiated.

It appears the neighboring countries will have always problems and enmity.

It is true with most of the countries in the world.

Is it a universal phenomenon?

The Korean War, we find as a chapter in every world history book, ended in July 1953.

Kim Il Sung ruled Korea since 1948 and died in July 1994.

Several proposals were made to unify the North and South Koreas but in vain.

The disputes between these two countries are well known to the whole world.

South Korea is fortunate to be free from a dynastic rule.

It is a rich country with many industries – textiles, electronics, petrochemicals, ship and motor vehicles.

Koreans are having world famous construction businesses.

It ranks second in ship building in the world.

Koreans are hard working people who lost many of their ancestors in the cruel wars.

South Korea became the first Asian country ever to reach semi-finals in World Cup Football.

Both Koreans are good in sports.

We can see them in knocking off many gold medals in Olympic Games.

In the political scene North Korea has invited more enemies than the South because of its adamant administration by the dynasty.

Kim Jong Il, the ailing Dictator rules North Korea.

He has three sons, one out them Kim Jong Un has fair chance of ruling the country next with the help of his brother-in-law Chang sung Taek.

North Korea wants to be a nuclear power which is not liked by the Americans.

There were many talks between them but none of them was successful.

How to make North Korea to stand down in their nuclear program? – is the big question American Administration headed by Barack Obama is worried about.

Recent incident of sentencing two American female journalists Euna Lee (36) and Laura Ling (32) to 12 years of hard labor has angered the Americans.

The United States of America is furious about the abduction of these two women journalists, but it can not react vehemently in order to tackle North Korea carefully and cautiously by the new President Obama.

Therefore, the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said the U. S. Government views the case as wholly separate from the other issues which divide Pyongyang and Washington.

Relation between Japan and North Korea is also not good.

North Korea is selling weapons of mass destruction to other countries.

Stopping this dangerous action is one of the foremost duties of the international communities.

Inflicting sufficient economic pain through new sanctions to make North Korea to rethink its determination to be a nuclear power is another aspect the world bodies have to consider.

Stiffer sanctions in fact, will cripple the North Korean economy and the innocent people will suffer a lot.

To do all these, China, the Great Nation has to come forward and help.

One of the sanctions, it appears, is to freeze the bank accounts of North Korea in China.

Whether China will do it?

One has to wait and see.

There are countries in the world that do not follow certain accepted norms for international cooperation and coordination.

North Korea is unfortunately one of them according to Western countries.

That is a little vague, but Japanese and Koreans were Chinese long ago who migrated to those two countries. That is why Korean and Japanese languages, customs, and cultures have Chinese influence.

China was the leading power a long time ago but Japan was never far from them – WWII is when they came to great prominence as we all know. Chinese and Koreans were their slaves then.

China’s most magnificent temple – the Lama Temple

At the north-eastern side of Beijing is China’s largest and most perfectly preserved imperial temple – The Lama Temple or Yonghe Temple. This temple was established in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty. Prince Yong used the temple as his residence and after his death his coffin was placed in one of the halls. His successor, the Qianlong Emperor thereafter granted imperial status to the temple – which is seen by the replacing of its turquoise blue tiles with the Emperor Status yellow ones. The temple then gradually became a residence centre for Tibetan and Mongolian Buddhist monks.

The entire architecture is based along a north to south axis with 5 main halls and courtyards. Each of these halls are in succeeding height order with the last being the highest. The temple boasts of Mongolian, Manchurian, Tibetan and Han influences.

The Hall of the Heavenly Kings marks the entrance to the other halls and contains the statues of the 4 Divine Kings. The Hall of Harmony and Peace consists of the images of the 3 Buddhas of the 3 ages – Kasyapa Matanga ( Buddha of the past), Sakyamuni (Buddha of the present), and Maitreya (Buddha of the future).

Next is the Hall of Everlasting Blessings, which the Prince Yong used as his residence. This hall now carries a green tara and white tara depiction, the former of which is unusual given its make consisting of 4000 silk pieces.

The lamas read their sutras and hold ceremonies in the Hall Of The Dharma Wheel, which also consists of a structure of the founder of the Tibetan Buddhist Yellow Hat Sect.

The last hall, the pavilion of Infinite Happiness is the highest and the main hall. An 18 meter high statue of Maitreya Buddha carved from a single Sandalwood tree takes pride of place and is one of the artworks to be in the Guinness Book in 1993.
