7e-Fashion Teaching You Gorgeous Korean fashion Autumn Assembly

7e-Fashion Teaching You Gorgeous Korean fashion Autumn Assembly

7e-Fashion though low-key woman, inner desires to bloom and moving; and dull season, behind dark tonal Chan are used for sullen bright desires. The new quarter T stage, red, blue, gold, color 4 color accessories are numerous big-name designers of fashion, and have a keen sense of smell, you naturally can not let those bright eyes accessories into your country of autumn of secret weapons – regardless of the traditional conservative mix of autumn color costume, or earth echoes the most saturated colors IN costume, colorful neon accessories will help you to use the color display of Asian fashion.

Red Hiding in Red Accessories in A W oman’s Heart

American Professor of Psychology at the University of Rochester • Elliot Andrew, indicated that the colors on the person, mood, behaviour or thoughts will fluctuate because of color, where the red man, just a glance, all around people’s feelings. In all colors, red is the most exciting, most colorful, most powerful, most prominent colors, like red woman, there is the potential significance of narcissistic tendencies and hopes to attract the opposite sex. Of course, some women never wears a red area, but a pair of red shoes, necklace, leather bags but quietly to their personality. Like red accessories woman day most erotic beauty, they face paintings, but there are points in concept, the narcissism of a conservative for his then a self-confidence. If a young woman, often complex “Cinderella,” dreaming about the advantages and beautiful can one day be a taste of the Prince Korean fashion.

7e-Fashion Tips of Safely Collocationg

1. In the box to avoid using too many red red, large areas seem vulgar easily. Wearing Red accessories and wearing red dress is not a restaurant hostess is married bride.

2. Because red is very talented and, therefore, want to put red accessories to wear into the Office most appropriate and most advanced partner than white, grey or black clothes.

3. If your complexion Dim Chen, color job nor precise, recommendations do not try to match with red accessories pink, blue, Brown and other clothing, it is easy to fail. In General, the Red brightness and saturation itself is relatively strong, if the brightness, Korean fashion clothing, saturation strong cool colors (blue, green) match, it will be some transitional color such as white.

Blue In Blue Accessories In A Woman’s Heart

Woman who likes blue has delicate soft heart, that is the best way to understand “the flowers of the world, a tree a tree”. Like blue woman of accessories such as quiet sometimes light Lake, sometimes as the climax of the Haitao mood swings, but all are hidden in their hearts, somewhat ntroverted is a calm, rational and pure woman, is therefore the iceberg beauty.

7e-Fashion Tips of Safely Collocationg

During autumn and winter of this year, bright colors of clothing are designer’s favor, but a good application similar to red and blue such complementary colors, often distinguish between fashion and poor people. Because the case relative to garments accessories area is limited, so skillfully they form a small area of the collision, for the whole match.

7e-Fashion Gold Hidden In Gold Accessories In A Woman’s Heart

Loving Golden woman must have the pride of the soul, her possessive and control, does not have to wait for the Prince to Cinderella slipper. Instead, maybe she would rather be found in the pride of the frog Princess. Like gold accessories woman aspires to become the focus of all, she’s not afraid of the homosexual critically, it does not meet the specific of aesthetic taste, she knew “go your own way”.

7e-Fashion Tips of Safely Collocationg

1. this fall, T Man Style remained buoyant, JP, loading, loading or handsome, when you select a neutral charge intruders, Golden accessories has become your chosen for collocation, because gold is very neutral in color, and have exaggerated design gold accessories can make color and style of a Man on a relatively stiff Style Look more individuality and highlights.

2. Rock and roll in the autumn, while the momentum already is as good as last year, but still cannot be ignored in a big trend. As the trend of the main dyed black, it’s best partner than gold. Form of more abstract gold accessories can convey the spirit of Rock this season.

7e-Fashion Color in The Color Accessories in A Woman’s Heart

Fun gorgeous colors of woman as the ever-changing mood, like color, most women have a childish side, naughty and capricious. But like a woman of color accessories not only aspires to colorful life, and the desire to enrich emotional experience, the most intolerable are those emotional honest man.

7e-Fashion Tips of Safely Collocationg

1. Color accessories with a single color, dark clothing match is the most conservative approach, of course, the benefits are in contrast to highlight their own style and design, this wiring by Dior, Chanel, Baby Phat and many other big-name customers.

2. For this season’s most fashionable mix mode is used to match the same color in color accessories bright clothing. No, you have made of the principle is that the color hairpins there must be a dominant color and clothing colors are the same color or the same color.

Just Say “no” to the Recession: a Refresher Course for Retailers Who Want to Boom Rather Than Bomb This Holiday Season

These are the times that try retailers’ souls. Unemployment is at a 14-year high, consumer confidence is at an all-time low, and the stock market has yet to mellow out. If you own a retail store, you’re not sure what sales numbers to expect this holiday season. Should the stronger-than-expected Black Friday sales give you hope that holiday goodwill could trump the much-vaunted bad economy and surprise savvy retailers with a healthy (if not spectacular) shopping season? Or will shoppers stay away from stores now that the Black Friday deals have come and gone?

Why not ignore all of this economic bad news, let your more positive way of thinking win out, and just say “no” to the recession?

I’ve been noticing lately that the restaurants I go to are still full of patrons. And when the ski shop in my town had its preseason sale, its parking lot was full. And a good friend of mine, a real estate broker, just told me she had one of her best months in three years. My point? People are still buying stuff, big and small. And it’s not like Christmas was cancelled this year, so people will keep on buying. It’s your job to make sure they are buying stuff from you.

In other words, you can no longer use the bad economy as an excuse for not doing well. In fact, overall retail sales are much better than recorded because of two simple reasons:

Gift cards have become a best-selling gift. However, they are not counted as retail sales until they are redeemed. So, many of these sales will not show up on the books until after the holidays, and as we know, not everyone redeems all of their gift cards.

The biggest growth in retailing has been from the Internet. Those numbers are never included when retailers report same store sales.

Retailers who have a successful holiday season will be the ones who simply tune out the bad news and do everything they can to keep their doors open.

Poor management puts stores out of business, not economic climates. Recessions reward the flexible and nimble. There is business out there to be had, and I believe sharp retailers can achieve great sales numbers now despite the economy. They need to adopt the attitude displayed by a store owner who recently posted in response to my weekly Q&A session, Retailer’s Advantage. He said, “We choose NOT to participate in the recession.” The more store owners who mimic his resolve the better.

To make the most of the slow economy, retail store owners should get back to the basics. Here are a few suggestions:

Bring them in with hot items. To get customers into your store this holiday season and after, you must offer them merchandise they simply can’t turn down. Stock your shelves with items that have the Wow Factor and thus send customers into an “I have to have that” or an “I must give that as a gift this year” buying frenzy. Once you’ve identified the “hot” items for the season, determine which ones are the best fit for your store. Then research which other stores in your area sell those products. If you can become the sole seller of a certain “hot” item in your area, you will be in great shape. Providing great merchandise that’s heavy on the “hot” items for a given period will be your trump card for surviving any recession. Don’t you forget it!

Make your store the place to get the best stuff. Too many retailers put price first and item second. Reverse it—always put the item first and the price second. But do remember, this doesn’t mean that you can stick your head in the sand about price. I was at the airport in Louisville recently, and as I was walking past the PGA store, I noticed they had a table out in front with some terrific buys. I was shocked when I saw a sweater I liked for only $9.99. I quickly tried it on and decided at that price I had to buy it. As I was checking out, a store employee suggested another sweater that was $39.99. And since I already had my wallet out I figured I might as well buy it too.

My point is that pretty much everyone has a hard time resisting a good sale. So, get in touch with your vendors and see what buys they’re offering for cheap these days. And don’t be afraid to do some negotiating if necessary. Many of your vendors will be willing to sell cheap because of the slow economy. By including items in your inventory that you’ve purchased from your vendors on the cheap, you’ll be able to tempt your customers to part with their cash.

Give them something to talk about. Strong businesses are built on word-of-mouth advertising. The kicker is that in order for word-of-mouth advertising to work, you have to get people talking about your store. A great way to do that is through creative promotions, eye-catching window displays, in-store contests, and of course, all that great merchandise. All of these things are what make you different from the competition and what make your store stand out in the eyes of your customers.

The holidays are a great opportunity to use promotional activities to excite your customers and generate enthusiastic word of mouth. For example, offer a discount on a certain weekend to anyone brave enough to come to your store dressed as a holiday-related personality or character. Or partner with a nearby bakery and offer delicious holiday treats for shoppers along with a coupon that gives a discount at the bakery to every customer who buys in your store that day.

Stay in front of your customers. If you don’t already ask your customers for contact information when they buy from you, now is the time to start. Simply following up with past customers to ask how they like an item they recently purchased, to inform them about an upcoming sale, or to offer them special discounts is a great way to capture the fruit closest to the ground during a tough economy. You’ll tempt them into coming in again and making a purchase without giving away the store.

The key to having your existing customers come back to your store lies in you and your salespeople mastering the Art of the Friendly Reminder. I have seen stores have huge increases just by requiring their employees to make follow-up phone calls to customers. For example, if a customer recently purchased new cookware from your store, have a sales associate follow up with her to see how she is enjoying it and let her know that you just received a great shipment of cooking utensils or cookbooks.

Introduce the discount-later sales technique. There is a relatively new promotional idea that is being adopted by many retailers with a great deal of success. Here’s how it works: A customer makes a purchase for a certain amount, let’s say it’s $105. Because she’s reached the sales mark of $100 or more, you, the store, give her a coupon for 15 or 20 percent off of her next purchase. The kicker is the coupon cannot be used the day of the initial sale and is valid for only the next six days.

These kinds of deals are proving to be very effective. They give customers a compelling reason to come back to you and come back soon, while that sweater or purse or espresso machine she thought about but didn’t buy is still fresh on her mind. In fact, studies show that the return rate on these discounts is over 70 percent. That is a pretty significant success rate that will help you bring in a bunch of customers who may not have come back at all.

Sell every person who walks through the door. Remember, it is your job to maximize every customer who walks through your doors. You might be rolling your eyes at the impossibility of that proposal, but these tough times require a change in attitude. And yes, you can do this without being too aggressive or pushy.

Keep in mind that if someone enters your store, the potential exists for him to buy simply because he is in your store. Take the time to train your sales associates on how to engage your shoppers without alienating them. Remind them that just selling one item to one customer is not good enough and that the store benefits the most when a customer buys multiple items. So, make sure the phrase “May I also show you our fill-in-the-blank?” becomes second nature to them.

I believe we are about to observe an unprecedented period of growth. But in order to take part in that growth, you have to be around to see it, and that means taking the right steps now. Block out the naysayers who say you can’t be successful in this economic climate and ignore your own negative thoughts. If you take on a positive attitude and stay focused on doing everything you can to please and impress your customers, you will weather the economic storm.

And BL20 with a strong return to the LG, doing my usual attitude in order to re-writing a classic. Next, let us take a careful look unique piece of temptation, “chocolate” it!

Super nice chocolate shape

The LG has launched a BL20 and BL40 is introduced together, either in appearance or in the system, both a certain similarity, especially from the outside looking in, BL40 atmosphere and wise, BL20 is Delicate and elegant, like a pair of two noble lovers Scorpio general, beautiful, mysterious and unique temperament.

Small beautiful LG BL20

LGBL20 is a slider phone, when the body is not drawn to the slide, the one looked a bit like a music player, as BL20 and do not give a general slide machine feels a little bit thick. According to official data, LGBL20 the measurements are 106.9mm × 50.8mm × 12.3mm, probably something like an ordinary bank card and then about 2 cm long, very wide grip suitable for Asian women. Body weight of 115 grams, so the weight is just right, no lack of feeling but not too heavy.

Machine with the feel

Not look closely, you may think that the slide part is the BL20 of the screen, it is not true, and very luxurious compared with Lasting BL40e, LGBL20e phone obviously more authentic, because the BL20 is to pass on then KG90 classic, then there is no “a touch of red” touch button and the essence of minimalist design, how it can be called the Heritage Classic? Therefore, “LG” logo, and 2.4-inch display under the touch keypad is BL20. Touch keypad to keep the last one for KG90’s “a touch of red” type of button, in the evening when the lighting is not normal to have feelings!

Mysterious bright red in color with a touch keypad

Draw the slide, you can see the big red keyboard part, BL20’s body has changed from occupied to cool blend of warm and cold colors, avant-garde feeling wells up. BL20 slide part of the design process is superb, combining a compact, not loose does not collapse, was launched not be too strong, there is no obstruction to draw assigned to a sense of the kind of flowing Xiaobian indescribable feeling, just hoping to piece Field sentence communicated to you.

LG BL20 after the draw slide

Keyboard part of the design of BL20 and no little thought, in order to control the thickness of the fuselage, BL20 keys are designed flat-style button, but will also have a button for each of the styles of crystal packing. In addition, between each row of keys have a silver stripe separated by a decorative, looks great in a texture. Meanwhile, BL20 keyboard performance in the evening is also very excellent, keyboard light brightness is moderate, not dazzling, soft but not lose brightness, white light and red touch keypad buttons in the night once again showed BL20’s fashion sense .

Keyboard looks good

Soft keyboard, but without losing the bright lights

5 Tell-Tale Signs The Korean Fashion Piece You Bought Online Is A Knock-Off

With the rise in popularity of Japanese Korean dramas in recent years, the spillover effect of such popularity to Japanese and Korean fashion is evident. As the Japan Korean peninsulas are two big powerhouse of Asian fashion, the latter is usually represented by these two styles. In fact, Japanese fashion was the first wave of craze and it is evidently dwindling and being replaced by Korean fashion.

Women’s fashion is a lucrative business. With Korean fashion gaining popularity, knock-off manufacturers want a share of the Korean pie too. Especially since such pieces do not come cheap in an effort to compensate Korean designers for their originality in designing Korean clothes.

When buying Korean Clothing, watch out for these tell-tale signs the clothes you bought is a knock-off.

#1 – Non Koreans modeling Korean fashion pieces
Clothing sold online have to be modeled as that is they only way you can see and buy them. If the clothes are modeled by Chinese model, you should be aware that the source of origin of their clothing is most probably from China/Taiwan or Hong Kong and most of these designs are knock-offs. From experience (I do shop online a lot and from everywhere), the clothing I’ve received from these places are usually made from low grade material or poor workmanship and most of the time they look nowhere near the pretty pictures.

#2 – When your clothes arrive wet or comes with a weird smell
When your highly-anticipated fashion pieces reach you in wet condition or comes with a weird smell, your gut feeling is probably right – you have just got yourself something from a knock-off sweat shop. Most of these shops are only concerned with quantity so it is not surprising that some pieces might be wet or has a weird smell (due to the sweat shop conditions) because they do not have the budget or need for ‘quality control’.

#3 – Printing errors on the clothing designs, clothing label or clothing tag
If there are spelling errors, it is highly likely to be a knock-off as they do not have the budget for ‘quality control’ and most of the time, the manufacturers may not even know what they are printing hence they are unable to spot the error.

#4 – Buying Korean fashion pieces from website ending with ‘.cn’
If you are based outside of Korea or do not know the language, it can be a daunting task to purchase Korean fashion online as most Korean websites are in Korean. However, with the rise of internet and online shopping, there are lots of websites in English that sells Korean fashion. If the website ends with a ‘.cn’, it is highly likely that the piece you bought is a knock-off.

#5 – Look at the price and think rational
If the prices seem too good to be true, then most likely it is the case. Knock-offs compete with the real stuff by the price. Since the quality can’t be better, the sole advantage they have is in pricing as their cost of production is lower. Do not hold your expectations too high if you are prepared to buy knock-offs though, since it is a fraction of the price, the quality will be discounted too.

Whereas people from Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan are crazy about Korean dramas and pop music, people from Denmark, France or Canada are more likely to have watched Korean films before arriving in Korea. With a busy and internationally successful film industry, Seoul and Korea have become the backdrop for quite a number of movies. SEOUL takes you to some of the most beautiful settings in Seoul that were used in films by three of the most prolific contemporary Korean filmmakers.

Bukchon & Seongbuk-dong
In “3 Iron” (Kor. Bin Jip or ‘empty house’), the 2004 film by the infamous Korean director Kim Ki-duk, a rather taciturn guy rides through the city of Seoul on his silver-colored, spot-free BMW, attaching advertisements for delivery Chinese, chicken and pizza on doors in such a way that they cover the door lock. It’s his method to spot temporarily empty houses that he then uses to live in. While riding from neighborhood to neighborhood, this motorcyclist draws a perfect picture of the different characters of the city, almost creating a sociological profile of Seoul. He drives through well-off neighborhoods like Seongbuk-dong or Pyeongchang-dong in the hilly north of the city, but also explores poor neighborhoods, old, decaying apartment complexes just years away from complete destruction, like the Jeongreung Sky Apartments, built in 1971, just a stone’s throw away from the rich lodgings of ambassadors and movie stars. The most famous area explored by the motorcyclist, who is at some point is joined by an unhappy wife he picks up on his forays, is Bukchon, the hanok village between the two palaces. They walk down Gahoe-dong 31-gil, a rather steep alley lined by hanok , traditional Korean houses, newly restored to their former beauty. At the top of the hill is a stunning view of Seoul’s inner city’s high rises, including the landmark Jongro Tower and Namsan N Seoul Tower, forming a nice contrast with the sturdy roof tiles of the hanok in the foreground. Bukchon, translated as “northern village,” is the area of town where in the times of the Joseon Dynasty (1392—1910) the yangban , the aristocratic elite, used to live—in convenient vicinity of the royal court. It is an area that seems to have kindled director Kim Ki-duk’s creativity.

Bukchon is best explored starting from Anguk Station, Line 3. If you exit through Exit 6, after a few meters you will reach a Tourist information booth. There, maps of the area are handed out, making it easiest to find the famous Hanok alley at the top of the mountain.

Seongbuk-dong can be reached from Hanseong University Station, Line 4, Exit 6. Walk up the main road for about a kilometer.

Suyeon Sanbang will be at the right, in a small alley across from Deoksu church. Open from noon to 10:30pm. T. (02) 764-1736.

His more recent movie “Dream” (Kor. Bimong , 2008) also takes place there. “Dream” is basically a “journey that takes you along the many remaining hanok in Seoul”, as one Korean blogger poignantly put it. As the workshop for the male protagonist, a seal maker, served a gallery-café in Gahoe-dong that has since closed down; the female protagonist designs her fashion in another modernized hanok , as well; some scenes take the viewer into the rooms of luxury hanok -hotel Rakkojae; and the hanok -style town office of Hyehwa-dong has been transformed into a police station.

“Dream” also visits places in Seongbuk-dong. The two main figures, connected through a s t r a n g e d r e a m m y s t e r y, v i s i t a d o c t o r / psychologist/shamanist who set up her office in Yi Tae-jun’s hanok , the Suyeon Sanbang. Yi Tae-jun was one of the most prolific writers of Korean modernity, building a rather large mansion there in the 1930s that incorporated modern Japanese influences—most visible in the glass (and not paper) windows—into the traditional architectural style of Korea. His granddaughter turned this home into a cozy teahouse. It feels like entering someone’s living room; the home-made tea further emphasizes that. In the movie, however, the space feels cold and scary, due to the energy the shaman counselor exudes. The twisted and surreal film ends with white ice and a red bridge— Seongsan Bridge in the west.

Hangang River
Bridges along the Hangang River are the backdrop for many a movie. For Bong Junho’s “The Host” (Kor. Goemul , 2006), one of the most successful and critically acclaimed movies in recent Korean film history, the bridges become the main scene of action, allowing the viewer to see them from new perspectives, climbing through them and under them and across them. A monster that mutated from waste jumps out of the Hangang one day and abducts a child, hiding it in some corner under a bridge. As the story continues, the child’ family uses all the weapons at their disposal—be they arrows, bullets or improvised Molotov cocktails—to find the child and kill the monster. They hurry along the southern banks of the river, passing or traversing almost every bridge, from Seongsan in the west to Banpo in the east, which becomes the rainy scene of an unsuccessful attempt by the family to shoot the monster. One of the little kiosks at Hangang Park on Yeouido serves not only as the family’s source of income but also as their home and the headquarters of the search. Unfortunately, these little stores have been replaced by modern and smartly equipped convenience stores in the course of the reconstruction project on the Yeouido river banks. Nonetheless, Hangang River Park is always a worthwhile trip, with the water taxis taking you across longer distances, for example toward Olympic Park in the east or Seonyudo Park in the west.

The vast hangang Park can best be reached from Yeoinaru Station, Line 5, Exit 2 or 3. Walk east and you will pass Wonhyo, Hangang Iron, Hangang, Dongjak and finally Banpo Bridge—all of them backdrops for “The Host.” Nonetheless, Hangang Park is always a worthwhile trip, with the water taxis taking you across longer distances, for example toward Olympic Park in the east or Seonyudo Park in the west.

Namsan Cable Car
Hong Sang-soo is truly a master of variation. He manages to narrate the same story over and over again, in ever different constellations, with different settings, and (mostly) different actors. The backdrop of his movies is usually the archetypical Korea of the ‘70s and ‘80s that is slowly disappearing—simple, often almost rotten motels; down-to – earth restaurants with interchangable names like “Our Restaurant”; drinking holes. Yet the movie that he is most famous for, ” Virgin Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors” (Kor. Oh! Sujeong , 2000), features two scenes that are very easy to recognize, making them stand out against the otherwise u n s p e c i a l s e t t i n g s e v e n m o r e . O n e i s Gyeongbokgung Palace, the biggest of the five palaces in Seoul. The other one is Namsan Cable Car. Taking the cable car to reach the top of Mt. Namsan, is, for the main female protagonist Sujeong, a trip that lets her gain a distance from what’s been happening. Rising high up above Seoul serves as a metaphor for her making up her mind. Coincidentally, the cable car gets stuck midway—a hint to the fact that reaching new heights is not always positively connoted. The film is shot entirely in black and white, strangely setting the story into a non-time, detaching it from historicity. This is successful only to a certain degree. If you take the cable car in 2010, ten years after the film was shot, the utter speed in which this city changes becomes starkly apparent. Time is relative, after all—what is a decade elsewhere, is an era in Korea. And this is what is most striking—the fact that these films almost serve as a visual memory of the city.

Other film settings
Kim Ki-duk’s “Samaria” (2004) is set partly in the garden-park on the island of Seonyudo, attached to the southern river banks by a rainbow-shaped bridge. The two girls of this movie play in weeds, hide behind sculptures, and walk through in the golden ginkgo leaves of early fall. “Modern Boy” (2008, dir. Jeong Ji-woo, feat. Kim Hye-su), a historical movie set in the time when Korea was colonized by Japan, follows around a dandy in the Seoul of the Jazz Age. Locations that most Seoulites are familiar with— Myeong-dong, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul Station and the rooftop garden of the Shinsegae Separtment Store in Myeong-dong—are shown (or painted in the background) in their original form.

how can i download korea drama or film for free????

If you know Korean well then you can try http://clubbox.co.kr and register. You have to join other boxes and then everything is free. For searching, they nearly blocked almost every Korean Drama so you can go to http://boxtool.co.kr and type in whatever drama you want to watch and it’ll give you the list of people who have the drama.

You can also try http://veoh.com but it may have a different language subtitle. You should get VeohTV Beta to watch full episodes since they would probably just show you 5 minute previews. It’ll tell you how to download videos when you install the VeohTV.

You can finally try http://crunchyroll.com where you have to register. They probably have english subs for any video but they have bad quality but you get used to it quickly.I’m afraid you can’t download here though.

Hope I helped!

Teaching English in Singapore: Lucrative and Rewarding Jobs Await

For too long Singapore has been dominated by its larger cousins in the global market for TEFL/ESL destinations. It is natural to head to Thailand and Vietnam, completing ignoring this inspiring compact island. No more should the Lion City just be a refuge to teachers from Thailand looking for some civilisation while on a holiday break. Lucrative TEFL/ESL opportunities exist that allow teachers to save and provide for a lifestyle teachers in Thailand and Vietnam can only dream of. Salaries are high, classes involve mostly adults, and schedules are usually done in blocks – all highly rated in any TEFL/ESL job.

Singapore has a lot to offer which other countries don’t. Firstly, in the region of South East Asia, TEFL/ESL salaries far outstrip those of neighbouring countries. Teachers can expect to start at USD 2500 a month, most likely beating the USD 3000 mark. While the cost of accommodation may seem high on this small island, other costs such as transport and food are incredibly cheap when compared to the Europe, and even the US. This provides for a very comfortable lifestyle indeed, where teachers can experience the world famous diverse cuisine, spend money travelling, and of course save.

The job search in Singapore is undeniably best done on the ground when you get there. This is convenient as Singapore is a major international flight hub, and visitors from native English speaking countries can enter freely for stays between 30 – 90 days. While arriving with nothing may worry some teachers on a shoe-string budget, it is important to remember that unlike Japan, costs are low, and the market isn’t already saturated by other English teachers in the same boat. Some jobs are advertised online, mainly on TEFL.com and ESL Cafe’s international job board. However, these may not necessarily be the best deals, and the on the ground job search allows you to negotiate an all round better deal.

Who will employ you when you get there? For an island with a population of around 4 million people, Singapore has a high density of Educational colleges and private institutes. There is a palpable feeling in the air of everyone trying to better themselves. This means business and money to the TEFL/ESL teacher. A CELTA/Trinity TESOL candidate’s best bet, like elsewhere in the world, is to contact the major private language chains; Berlitz, The British Council, Cambridge Institute, GEOS, Linguaphone, Shines Education, Wall Street Institute and many more that are dotted along Orchard Road. Job opportunities can also be had in the Straits Times online job classifieds at st701.com. The benefits of turning up on the spot are obvious; it will look like you’re in it for the long(ish) haul, you can impress with a professional appearance and demeanour, and more importantly, you can negotiate your salary with your future employer.

It will please many aspiring applicants to know that TEFL/ESL job seekers in Singapore don’t necessarily need certification in CELTA/Trinity TESOL, although it will drag down your salary. More important is having a recognised, three year degree, which the government requires for immigration purposes. Don’t let this worry you though. Obtaining the necessary Employment Pass is a very simple process, merely requiring some forms to be filled in. This can be done in Singapore and you don’t have to leave the country to complete the process at a High Commission of theirs. It may be of interest to note that if you earn above SGD 4000 a month, you don’t need to undergo a medical examination.

Who will you teach is an often underestimated question and it is very important to note that teachers are extremely unlikely to be actually teaching native Singaporeans. Having been a colony of the United Kingdom until 1963, and having English as the official language, means English is very well established there. This may not be reflected in standards of local English, but for the most part, this is dealt with by the government during a child’s education. You are far more likely to be teaching (in quantity order from my experience) mainland Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Filipino, Japanese, Thai, and even Burmese citizens. This provides for a very enjoyable experience because, more than likely, you’ll have multilingual classes to teach. Furthermore it may be exciting to note that Singapore has far less kids’ classes than the rest of Asia. Naturally, this is due to the fact that English is the language of class in state schools.

Moving on from just the aspect of work, Singapore as a destination for expats, offers a very comfortable tropical lifestyle. The weather is characterised by two distinct seasons; wet and dry, and every day is hot! The vast majority of schools will employ air conditioning though to make the teaching experience far more comfortable. Singapore is renowned for its multi-ethnic cuisine. The real joy of living there is being able to choose from Chinese, Malaysian, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and European cuisine every day. Food is incredibly cheap, with amazing outdoor (but covered!) food courts providing for a fiesta of food to brighten any day. Fresh fruit juices and exotic cut fruits at rock bottom prices will make you feel great.

Accommodation on the island is where serious thought must be considered. Occupying a relatively small island with 4 million people naturally means rents are high – far higher than neighbouring countries. The vast majority of people occupy an apartment in a block of flats. These come in two levels of quality; HDB (a form of public housing provided by the government) and condominiums (high quality private apartments, usually but not always, with shared facilities like swimming pools, gyms etc). HDB flats are generally older and of lower quality (and sometimes without air con), but are of course cheaper. Condos can be anything from satisfactory to breathtaking. Rents for HDB flats start at around SGD 800 a month, with condominiums starting at around SGD 1500. Obviously, costs depend on a lot of factors, location being a major one. My own private recommendation would be to look for a refurbished HDB flat, rather than a cheaper, lower quality condo. I would also strongly dissuade anyone from seeking an apartment around the long Geylang Road, being the red light district, as it is extremely seedy.

In terms of cultural and leisure activities Singapore has somewhat to offer. Firstly, let’s deal with the common derisory remark that Singapore is one large shopping mall. This is true to an extent, and there are very many malls. This will obviously be music to the ears of those who like shopping, and potentially nightmarish for those who don’t. Sampling new food at food courts and restaurants is a very special Singapore experience, as is exploring the different quarters; Chinese, Indian, Malay, Korean, and Thai. The centre of the island is still virgin jungle and ideal for trekking, most notably Bukit Timah and Macritichie Reservoir Park being the most authentic jungle. Beaches are OK in Singapore, but the sheer amount of large boats out in the harbour may discourage you from swimming. An array of smaller islands around it are also great for exploring; particularly Kusu, Ubin, Lazarus and haunted Hantu. The island resort of Sentosa is usually very busy and a bit overrated in my opinion for leisure and entertainment.

In conclusion, for an aspiring teacher looking for a place to start, or for an experienced one seeking a fresh start, I would strongly recommend Singapore. Reasons of income, food, and climate make this a very attractive destination for TEFL/ESL. Flexible immigration makes this a good place to make your TEFL/ESL debut, while the above factors make the city a great place to linger for a few years. Singapore offers enough of the great things about Asia while low on the downsides that make other countries harder to live in such as crime, pollution, begging/touting. So, when considering Asia as an English teaching destination, don’t rule out the Lion City.

Is Korean Language taught at any highschool?

I want to learn Korean very badly, and I have a chance to enter a persuasive essay about adding Asian languages to our schools curriculum. My main argument is the significant population of Koreans at my school, and I think it is a useful language. I need to know if other high schools even do this. I’ve heard of Chinese and rarely Japanese at a high school, but it doesn’t seem like Korean is spoken enough to be added to a high schools curriculum. Do you know if high schools teach Korean?

im sure there are a few in california I bet, with the significant korean populations there. I live in Georgia, where there is the second largest population of koreans, and we have none in this state.
but having korean people in your school prolly isn’t a good reason to have a Korean class in school…
because, most korean kids…know how to speak korean..and would only take it for an easy A or…not take it at all!

i’d come up with a more valid reason if i were you.

And if you really want to learn the language, try looking up local korean consulate and inquire a place where you can learn korean. Its a great thing to do! thats what i did (:

Ginseng is the root of a plant that is considered an elixir in Oriental medicine. The scientific name of ginseng is Panax, which means “cure all” in Latin. The ginseng root is shaped similar to that of a human body. Known worldwide for its general health enhancing effects on the body and mind, ginseng is a natural way of increasing the quality of human lives through the many positive effects that it provides.

2. What are the benefits of consuming ginseng products?

The main benefit of consuming ginseng products is that it has a positive effect on overall health. Intake of ginseng on a daily basis will help improve metabolism and balance the various bodily functions, bringing about harmony of the mind and body. It helps many biological functions and helps the body build resistance to various diseases by strengthening the immune system.

3. How does ginseng promote health?

The almost magical ability of ginseng to cure the body of various ailments is due to the presence of ginsenosides, which is the active ingredient in the ginseng root. Ginsenosides have been proven to have strong positive effects on human metabolism, improving vitality, mental capacity and increasing strength and stamina. Fatigue and debilitating effects of senility are negated. Ginsenosides are adaptogens, they encourage the body to adapt to biological stress naturally, and Korean ginseng is among the best sources of ginsenosides in the world.

4. What is Korean Ginseng?

Korean ginseng is a particular strain of ginseng that is cultivated in Korea and is considered the superior variety among all types of ginseng.
5. Why should I consume ILHWA Korean Ginseng products?

ILHWA Korean Ginseng is considered the most effective of all ginseng varieties available in the market.

Korean Ginseng contains minerals, vitamins, amino acids, essential oils and enzymes. Korean Ginseng root takes a longer time to mature and therefore contains more active ingredients than any other variety of ginseng.
Korean Ginseng has positive effects not only on the body but also on the mind. It improves brain activity and promotes psychological health by a mechanism that fuels and calms the mind.

6. What is the scientific, biological reason for the health benefits of Korean ginseng?

Ginsenosides are the active ingredients of Korean ginseng. They are phytochemicals that are like steroids, and possess adaptogenic properties which help the body counter stress.
Panaxtriol, a steroid contained in Korean ginseng is very similar to the anabolic steroids found naturally in the body, thus making it ideal for athletes and body builders.

Ginsenosides also increase neurotransmitter activity and protein synthesis in the brain. It improves blood circulation in the brain cells by stimulating formation of blood vessels. This, in turn, leads to better blood circulation in the brain resulting in improved memory and cognitive abilities. Ginseng is also effective in treating diabetes, infections, migraine, and reducing the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.

He believes that natural remedies are the best remedies unless there is no other alternative, and the situation calls for modern allopathic remedies like Ginseng.

What does Korean Ginseng do?

Can anyone tell me its properties and what its used to treat?

Red ginseng

Red ginsengRed ginseng (Korean=홍삼, simplified Chinese: 红蔘; traditional Chinese: 紅蔘), is P. ginseng that has been heated, either through steaming or sun-drying. It is frequently marinated in an herbal brew which results in the root becoming extremely brittle. This version of ginseng is traditionally associated with stimulating sexual function and increasing energy. Red ginseng is always produced from cultivated roots, usually from either China or South Korea.

In 2002, a preliminary double-blind, crossover study of Korean red ginseng’s effects on impotence reported that it can be an effective alternative for treating male erectile dysfunction.[18]

A study shows that Red ginseng reduces the relapse of gastric cancer versus control.[19]

A study of ginseng’s effects on rats shows that while both White ginseng and Red ginseng reduce the incidence of cancer, the effects appear to be greater with Red ginseng.[20]

Falcarinol, a seventeen-carbon diyne fatty alcohol was isolated from carrot and red ginseng, shown to have potent anticancer properties on primary mammary epithelial (breast cancer) cells.[21] Other acetylenic fatty alcohols in ginseng (panaxacol, panaxydol, panaxytriol) have antibiotic properties.[22

Beat Stress with Korean Ginseng

Stress looms large in all walks of life, from the routine, like paying bills on time and meeting deadlines, to the devastating, like a divorce, death or fatal disease. It cannot be avoided in today’s hectic world. Even environmental pollutants, allergies and variations in climate can trigger stress in some individuals.

Stress is a normal physiological response to a situation or event that makes you frustrated, angry or out of control. Stress can even be good to a certain extent, especially in situations such as your having to prepare for an important meeting at work. But, when a person begins to stress all the time, it becomes harmful.

Studies conducted on the efficacy of Korean ginseng prove that it significantly reduces chronic stress and fatigue. Its anti-stress properties can be quite useful in treating stress induced disorders.

The herb not only reduces stress and the after effects, but it also helps stimulate the body’s immunity by increasing oxygen supply to the cells and tissues. Overall physical performance is benefited. Korean ginseng also fights fatigue and effects of aging. Depression, loss of appetite, impotence and other disorders brought about by a stressful life can be effectively brought under control by regular consumption of Korean ginseng.

Those undergoing chemotherapy and other such stressful medical treatments can greatly benefit by the supporting and nurturing properties of Korean ginseng.

Too much stress can lead to high blood pressure, headaches, decreased libido, lack of sleep, and other disorders. Studies say that stress is a major contributor to many major illnesses, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases and even infectious diseases.

Give your body a little bit of extra help with Korean ginseng.

It has been a great help to patients who want to get treated for cancer, especially restricting cancer using korean ginseng as the medicinal herb.

Are there any negative health affects from consuming too much ginseng?

For example those little packets of Korean ginseng tea. What would happen if you drank way too much? What is too much?

It can be a little speedy so whatever that does to your particular system might not be so hot long term.
